Since
October 2005 I am the SFI Bioinformatics Research Officer in Trinity College Dublin. I have been appointed to provide bioinformatics support to SFI Biotechnology funded research projects in TCD.
background
I grew up in Werther, Germany and studied Bioinformatics at Bielefeld University. A year as an ERASMUS student established my first contacts with Ireland. I returned later and reached a PhD degree in the Genetics Department in Trinity College, Dublin. In 2002 I moved to Vancouver and worked for the Canadian Pathogenomics Project, which got me into microarray data analysis. In 2005 I returned to Ireland.
