Welcome!

As part of the bioinformatics support for SFI-funded research in TCD the following backup facilities are provided:

• a total of 1 TeraByte of storage space (on a firewire drive)
• up to 40 GigaByte per user
• a self-developed backup tool for windows
• guidance with setting up automated backups on Macintosh and Linux computers (using rsync)

This is intended to be used as safety backup by researchers for their general data, e.g. Desktop and/or Documents folder.

Additional storage space is available for large scientific data sets.
